Another broken promise from Harper.
This is discusting! I hope this man will finally get some justice now that this has reached national media.

Miss California
There has been much discussion lately about Miss California and the way she answered a question on same sex marriage. In her answer Miss California said she believed marriage should only be between a man and a woman. As much as I disagree with her intoterant and outdated opinion, I don’t agree with how she’s been vilified for her comments. She answered the question honestly and gave her opinion. Many people may not agree with her, but she does have a right to her opinion and should not be torn apart for expressing it.
Harper and Mulroney. Two of a kind?
The GritGirl makes some very important comparisons between our current and former Conservative prime ministers in this youTube video. She has it right when she says “Different Tory, same old story. “
Campaigning on the taxpayer’s dime
I returned last night from a week-and-a-half visit to British Columbia. I’ve been following B.C. politics since I moved from there almost two years ago and knew there was an election coming up, but I was still surprised by the number of signs lining the province’s highways. I know what you’re thinking. What’s so surprising about that? The thing is the election writ hadn’t been dropped yet, and the signs weren’t technically election signs. They were signs paid for by the B.C. taxpayers telling them all about the great projects the government is working on. Highway emprovements and such, with a large portion of the money coming from the federal government. Each one of the signs proclaims that B.C. is “The Best Place on Earth.” While I think B.C. is nice, I think it could be a lot better and I can’t figure out why the B.C. Liberals think it’s the best place on earth. Is it the numerous government scandals? The huge number of poor? The 364% increase in the number of homeless? The cuts to programs and services – something the Liberals promissed not to do before being elected? The torn up contracts for teachers and health care workers? The fact that B.C. has had the highest child poverty rate for over 6 years? The record long hospital waitlists? Or maybe the ridiculously high gas prices due to an unefective and unnessesary carbon tax?
The B.C. Liberals would be much better served to spend the taxpayer’s money on making B.C. the best place on earth that they claim it is instead of wasting it on signs in an attempt to win votes.
