Not Working Again
I’m off work for a week again. Only this time I’m not on vacation. I hurt my back last Monday. It was worse when I woke up on Tuesday so I called in and told them I wasn’t coming to work. I went to the doctor yesterday and he says I injured tendons where my spine connects with my pelvis. He gave me some drugs to take for it, and I’m feeling ok now, but he says I shouldn’t work until the 24th. It’s still hurting, but not as bad as before, and I feel like I could be working, but I’m not going to risk it if the doctor says to stay home. I’m not sure yet if I’m going to be receiving compensation. I filled out a form for WorkSafe B.C., aka Workers Compensation, so I guess I’ll just have to wait and see. I’ve never had to deal with something like this before so I have no idea how the whole compensation side of things works. Wal-Mart still owes me vacation pay though, so I should be ok with missing so many shifts.
So since I have some more time off work, I’m going to do some work on my websites. Canada4Life.Ca needs some updating, and I want to get the photo album up and running on this site. Only problem is the pain killers I’m on make me really sleepy. We’ll see what happens.
T-Shirts
Hey all.
I don’t have much to post. Nothing really exciting going on lately. I’m back to work now. I had a week off from the 24th to the 30th of June and then I had the 1st and 2nd off for my weekend. I drove out to Calgary, like I mentioned in my last post, spent a few days there, and then drove back on the 29th. It was nice to get out of town for a few days. I think I’m starting to get used to driving around Calgary without getting lost. I used to live in Surrey, but I was so young then that I didn’t really have to get around the big city by myself. Each time I’ve been to Calgary it’s been easier to get around te city without missing my exit and ending up going in circles trying to get to where I want to be.
It was great to have Canada Day off work, but because I had the 1st and 2nd off I ended up working nine days in a row. I guess it was worth it. Canada Day was pretty great. The fireworks were kind of a disappointment, but that’s to be expected in this city I guess.
I have a new Canada4Life T-Shirt. Roger, Sara and I made some shirts on the 30th and we all wore them downtown for Canada Day. We had a lot of people checking them out, and probably got a lot of hits on the website because of them. A big thanks to Roger and Sara for that. And I’m not sure if Sara reads this blog, but if you do let me know if I owe you for the shirt. I was serious when I asked you that.
Here’s a picture if you’re interested.

I haven’t set up an order form on Canada4Life.Ca yet, but if anyone’s interested in buying one go to my “contact me” page and let me know.
